Portugal has built a new solar park that generates 44 GWh of energy per year. This amount of clean energy can supply around 20,000 households with electricity and prevent 9,000 tonnes of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere every year.
We are proud that alarm.direct was able to equip this solar park with our innovative security technology and have already successfully completed part of the project.
The existing fence, which stretches over a length of 8,162 metres, was equipped with innovative fence sensors and additionally upgraded with our modern camera technology, as were the access gates. These installations will provide the solar park with the highest level of security 24/7.
The combination of fence sensors and additional camera surveillance was also chosen for this solar park, which ensures real-time monitoring and thus almost completely rules out false alarms.
If an alarm is triggered, the cause can be located quickly, enabling a rapid response and, in the event of unauthorised access, the perpetrator(s) can be addressed, warned and prevented from gaining unauthorised access as quickly as possible using integrated loudspeakers and high-performance LED spotlights.
