Energy infrastructure needs greater security

A recent study has revealed significant security vulnerabilities in Europe’s energy infrastructure.

A total of 8,547 internet-accessible systems in European solar and wind farms were identified. Spain is particularly affected, while Germany also has numerous exposed systems.

A cyberattack targeting more than 30 solar and wind power installations in Poland in late December 2025 highlights the risks involved. Control and communication systems were disrupted, and some installations partially lost their connection to grid operators.

Comprehensive Security for Solar Parks

As renewable energy continues to expand, so do the requirements for protecting these installations. In addition to cybersecurity, theft, sabotage and unauthorized access remain key risks.
